There will be a special event Tuesday night, July 11 following the opening service of our District Assembly and Conventions. Seth Lenderman has worked hard to find us a place to gather together (Thanks Seth!!!)… so immediately following the Tuesday evening service we will head to Laser Quest located at 8083 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919. We will have the place to ourselves from approximately 10-11:45 for 2 games of laser tag, pizza and sodas and a great time to hang out and fellowship!
The cost will be $15 per person and will include laser tag and food. The arcade will also be open for quarter play… bring your quarters!
Laser Quest can only host 32 people to play laser tag… so participation will be on a first register, first participate basis. What that means is that I need you to EMAIL ME your list of participants ASAP so we can get you on the list. If space is available the night of, we will fill the remaining spots with anyone that wants to play. This event is for all NYI age teens and young adults (and young at heart, though game priority will be given to NYI) to have a place to gather together and fellowship. Don’t want to play laser tag? Come hang out and enjoy the fellowship.
ADDITIONALLY… Laser Quest has 2 “Escape” rooms that will accommodate up to 8 players each room, for a total of 16 possible. If you are interested in this opportunity please let me know… again first register, first participate. The Escape experience is an additional $15 per person.
If you come to play and eat we do need the $15 participation fee. If you want to come eat and hang out, a $5 donation will help defray costs.
The Southeast Field Nazarene
Youth International will host its 3rd annual PK retreat February 2-4,
2018 at a brand new water park located just outside Atlanta, GA (more details
coming soon). The retreat is for all
7-12th grade pastor’s and ministerial staff’s teens including full
time missionary’s teens.
This weekend is designed to
give students being raised in a PK or MK home the opportunity to share their
joys and struggles with other students who find themselves in similar
situations. It is a unique set of challenges
that our PKs and MKs face. They need a
place of safety where they can be themselves and connect with other students
who “get it”.
This two-day retreat will
provide meaningful worship opportunities including times to hear from adults
who were PKs and their perspective on growing up in the home of a pastor or
Please share this information
with your Church Board and Pastoral family.
We encourage our Churches to cover the cost of this retreat as part of
their love and appreciate for their pastoral family.
Registration is $150 per
student before January 1, 2018 and $175 after that. For more information and to register, please
New Medical and Photo Video Release forms are here: We are asking every youth group and every Church to submit NEW 2017 Medical and Photo/Video Release forms for every student in their group. This will cover them for the coming year (except TNT which has its own form) and get us all on the same page.
The 2017 form is required for every student on January 1st. We are shifting to a policy to update all Medical Photo Video Release forms at the beginning of the calendar year in the hopes of avoiding confusion as to who has and hasn't completed their forms. Please note that ALL FORMS ARE TO BE MAILED TO KATIE HAUN AT THE ADDRESS LISTED ON THE FORMS! Thank you!
Below you will find a copy of the recently updated ET District NYI Guidelines. Our guidelines are now in alignment with the Southeast Field Ministry Plan with regards to age requirements for participation in NYI events.
